This 1949 film presents Uruguay as a productive, sunlit nation, comparing its agriculture, economic well-being, and culture with those of the United States. It highlights the gaucho and sheep herding, universal free education extending into higher studies, and extensive state control of banking, insurance, housing, and social security, alongside charcoal-based fuel use.
