Download in full

NASA’s Why? Files – Astronauts in Space explains how astronauts prepare to live and work in zero gravity. The segment introduces parabolic flights aboard the KC-135 aircraft, showing how changes in the plane’s trajectory create brief periods of simulated weightlessness. It also describes adjusting the maneuver to model the gravity of the Moon or Mars.
