Mr. Bell (Part II) dramatizes Alexander Graham Bell’s development of the telephone, from laboratory experimentation and the first intelligible call—“Mr. Watson! Mr. Watson! Come here, I want you!”—to public demonstrations confronting skepticism and technical setbacks. It also presents Bell’s prophetic interest in transmitting speech without wires and influencing future communication technologies.
