Workers transform metal into automobile parts and assemble those parts into a finished vehicle. In black-and-white factory scenes, toolmakers measure and shape components, foundry crews handle molten metal, and machine operators cut, grind, and finish cast pieces.

Other workers inspect parts, build engines and wheel assemblies, and guide large automobile frames through heavy machinery.
