Download in full

Logic By Machine (Part II) examines how computers derive necessary conclusions from human-supplied premises, data, and operating rules, rapidly performing logical, arithmetic, and control tasks. Through discussion with Professor Nagel and Dr. Hamming, the film considers whether machines can create original ideas, contrasting their speed and accuracy in routine work with the continuing importance of human judgment and problem-solving.
