At a party, a girl named Adreline sits alone and wonders why she does not fit in with the other teenagers. In her bedroom, her mirror image begins acting independently and shows her that she usually pushes her head forward, slumps her shoulders, and lets her stomach sag. Determined to improve her posture, Adreline seeks help with her friend Tom from a science teacher, who arranges a classroom talk by Dr. Martin.

The film says that poor posture may reflect fatigue, emotional distress, physical problems, or careless habits, and advises consulting a doctor before beginning corrective measures. Students learn that exercise, rest, nutritious food, and supportive shoes can help them develop better posture; demonstrations also show comfortable standing and sitting positions that keep the body aligned. Adreline and Tom practice these habits, and the closing scene shows Adreline standing proudly before a now-cooperative mirror.
