In this 1951 instructional film, a boy named Bill gets a stomachache after rushing through breakfast and lunch, then filling up on pop, candy, and cookies after school. He has little appetite at family supper and is put to bed when he feels ill. The film explains that his hurried, incomplete meals and sugary snacks left no room for foods he needed.

The next morning, Bill gives himself enough time for breakfast, drinks slowly, chews small bites thoroughly, and finishes his food. At lunch he again eats slowly and finishes his meal, and after school he chooses crackers and milk before playing outdoors. Bill studies without his usual late-morning hunger, plays energetically, and returns to supper with an appetite and no stomachache.
