Views of the Dam, Damrak, Vijzelstraat, and Oudezijds Kolk place the home within the prewar city. Inside, residents prepare food, talk together, and rest outdoors; blind residents are taught Braille, while others weave textiles, including cloth for the institution’s synagogue. Dutch intertitles stress the companionship and useful activity that residents find in everyday tasks.

A large gathering brings costumed theater performers and an orchestra to the institution, and participants receive flowers. Additional scenes show correspondence, official documents, and public recognition connected with the home. Closing images display the institution’s postal giro number and encourage viewers to contribute money to support its work.
