Best Food In Town examines sanitary practices in restaurants and the consequences of neglect. It contrasts primitive operations vulnerable to rats and contamination with modern procedures involving hot-water cleaning, germ-killing treatment, safe plumbing, refrigerated equipment, and rapid cooling of prepared foods. The film emphasizes that workers’ hygiene, especially handwashing, is essential to protecting customers from foodborne illness.
